Jonathon Larson took the fire, passion and soul of Puccini’s La Boheme and transposed it from Christmas in Paris it into a freezing 1990’s New York at the height of the AIDS epidemic. The musical went on to be a smash on Broadway and the West End despite his passing away before he had seen his US premier.
